the things they carried
The whole way that the men act macho and show emotion is weird. Its weird that they joke, but thats there way of getting by. They blow up little puppies instead of showing how they feel. The break there noses to show guilt. These poor boys have no idea how to show there emotion.

you're right. but actually these kind of things happen in the peaceful world, too, just not so obvious. they shows in a obvious and crazy way.
