Freedom Writers Diary

The sections in the book about the girls who had been molested really opened my eyes. I have no idea of the pain they must be in. They hide there secret everyday and stay strong. I can't believe the strength they must have to just get up every morning. I hope that this will inspire girls to speak out when they are molested and not keep it inside.

    actually, i think, if i'm molested, i won't tell a soul about it, not even a word. i'm not that brave, i can't handle the look people might give me, even if i'm a victim.i would just keep this deep in my heart, wouldn't even tell my parents or my best friend.

    i thought that these kids are really tough. all of them are tough on the streets but to be mentally tough is just..wow.. even though they are hurting inside, they dont let anyone know that they are hurting on the outside.

    Yea I agree...they have to be strong to be able to not only keep on living with everything, but telling their stories to anybody who reads this book.
