I really think that this book is opening my eyes. When we sit down and think about how our world is running, you wonder if we will be like Fahrenheit 451. With all the texting, TV, and radio, we get everything instantly. Seriously, when a text does not send, we flip out!!!!! It's like the world is going to end. Was it not only 5 years ago and most of us did not have a cell phone. If people don't get back to us instantly, we think they are ignoring us. Its also amazing that most of us are probably on the computer, and we can see or hear a TV going in the back round. If you really sit down and think about the time spent on the TV, the time will surprise you. My personal hope is that we are smart enough of a race to not get completely sucked into being robots and have the smarts to think for ourselves. So, the next time someone does not text you back in 30 second, wait a couple more minutes, they might just get back to you.
