Kite Runner
I can not believe that these kids are considering suicide. Mark in Kaffir Boy was going to kill himself too. Sobrah nearly succeeded. I honestly can not imagine how bad there life has to be to want to do that at such a young age. You have to very desperate. Both of their situations seemed very awful, but they are so young. I can not see myself giving up on life at ten or eleven years old. This just shows how bad there life really is. They both needed to get out of where they were.

Kite Runner
Assef is the grossest person i have ever met. He is a complete creeper!!!! All Young boys watch out! He has grown up to be what he always wanted to be. Hitler. It is scary that he always wanted to be this way. It's like he was programed to be evil. I always think that people are made evil and are not genuinely evil to start off with. Assef is really making me question this theory. He bossed his parents around when he was about 12. What does that tell you? You know that his parents didn't make him this way. They are scared of him. His mother is German and does not like Hitler, yet her son has turned into Hitler. I can not imagine my children tun ring out the way he did. I never want to be scared of my kids. I want to have a good relations hp with them. I want them to like me. Assef's parents seem like they didn't have a choice when they were with him. he made the laws and that was final. This character scares me more than any other character in any other book.
Kite Runner
This whole trip to Afghanistan is really not working out for Amir. I really feel bad for him. He basically gets chewed out by the cab driver for being rich. He was called a tourist in him native land. That has got to sting just a little bit. he accepts the fact that he lived a pretty privlidged life, but he did live there. He knew some of the things that when on. I can also see where everyone else is coming from. He did live the cushy life style and really did not see the real side of the country. He seems to be a minority where ever he goes.
